Here we deal with some problems of Mate, written as it developed. The first section deals with the existence of stationary subsets of [lambda]^{< kappa} with no unbounded subsets which are not stationary, where kappa is regular uncountable <= lambda . In the section section we deal with the existence of such clubs.
